We aim for every child to be the best they can be and achieve their potential. Sometimes there is a need to provide additional programmes to support the learning of individuals and groups of students.
We have a strong commitment to using assessment data effectively which allows us to identify and address students' learning needs across the curriculum.
This targeted approach ensures that support programmes are tailored to individual needs, often involving collaboration with external agencies for specialised learning interventions to enhance overall student achievement and inclusivity.
The Board funded initiatives to upskill 6 teacher aides in Better Start Literacy and Numicon, alongside a dedicated full-time Literacy Support teacher, reflect a comprehensive approach to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes.
Expanding the Literacy support teachers' focus from Year 0-2 to include Y3-6 in 2026, will mean we can extend the support.
We want to ensure tailored interventions are effectively meeting students' needs to promote equitable opportunities for all students.
