OUR ACTIVITIES

2024:  Community Puanga Celebration:

It was a beautiful  morning to come together with Matua Gavin, students and families to celebrate Puanga Matariki on Thursday.

The service was held next to our memorial garden on the front field when we remembered those that had passed.

Te Rōpū o Tōtara Puku students attended the dawn service as well as performing for whānau.

It was lovely to have Tōtara Puku Kindergarten children join us for breakfast at the end of the celebration.

Term 2:  Bike Safety

Term 2: Pink Shirt Day

We are so proud of our children for wearing pink to make it visible that 'Bullying is NOT ok'.  At Whanganui East Pink Shirt Day is every day, we encourage all our children to speak up not only to keep themselves safe at school but also others.  We celebrate this with our Whakanui moments across the school day.  It was great to see Harold also dressed in pink.

Term 1 2024:   Polar Bear Challenge

Congratulations to our students who won prizes for the Polar Bear Challenge in Term 1.  Participating in this Polar Bear  Challenge encouraged the children to think about the small lifestyle changes they can make to help mitigate climate change.
